Private Tuition Specialists
JV Tuition is a private tuition business, based in Hartlepool, specialising in 1 to 1 tuition at GCSE and A Level in Maths, Sciences and associated subjects and qualifications.
We have a 100% record in students achieving their predicted grades, but usually helping them achieve 1 or 2 grades higher.
We expanded several years ago to provide additional assistance on Access to HE courses for adult learners wishing to go to University, and this year, we bring SAT tuition for year 6 pupils in first and middle schools.

JV Tuition was established in 2010, founded by Dr Jane Varey, a fully qualified and experienced teacher.
JV Tuition originally provided tuition in A level Chemistry, Biology, Maths snd Physics. Within 1 year, the company expanded into tutoring the same subjects at GCSE level. By 2016, covering the wider North East region we renamed ourselves, Maths and Science Tuition, incorporating tuition for functional skills maths too.
Now, in 2026 we have expanded our remit further to include food technology and PE at GCSE.
All staff are fully qualified IQA and EQAs, with years of experience, we can provide IQA activity for Level 3, 4 and 5 teaching qualifications to other Trsining Providers.
• All tutors hold UK teaching qualifications.
• All tutors have full enhanced DBS clearance.
